… and no more New York x 2
Cloud 9 ’s veranda area @ Bole, in front of New York New York, Getu Bldg 5th floor.
Breeze and nice view of Bole’s busy street. Cozy place for a cup of coffee with your good friends. Cakes are so-so, but pastas are good especially Asian noodle. Wait staff are so-so, but the supervisors are trying to provide a good service. When you order a pasta dish, remind wait staff to bring accompanying soup or salad.
Garden Paradise @ Sar Beyt
Expensive… and how lucky I am to be able to visit such place when people suffer from inflation! Anyway, it’s still the best place especially for the business lunch or dinner. Talk to the friendly owner, who were in the restaurant business in the states for decades.
Paramount Bar and Restaurant @ Bole, near Mega Building
The restaurant sign is a bit scarely design and it’s not an inviting entrance. Plus you will wonder reading “specializing Italian, Chinese and Indian”. Imagining a chef who touches little bit of everything boasting to the owner of how talented he/she is. BUT ! It wan’t just one chef in the kitchen. They have chefs for each cuisine. Unfortunately, when I visited here, the chef for Italian food was absent, but both Chinese and Indian dishes were very good. Especially vegetable balls were fantastic and I wish you will try them.
Thai Restaurant @ From Bole Road, turn to the street next to Saay Pastry, passing Bombay Brasserie and few more.
This is their third time moving the location, but affluent people, especially farenjis are so quick to find out whereabout and they keep coming to this place. Adding to very tasty Thai food, the pleasant Asian service by real Thai staff is the one persuade people to come back. I told the staff to add more desserts, then the night will be complete. Good place for the romantic dinner
Oh… but too many restaurants and cafes… what’s going on in Addis? But please stop the inflation. Some, ordinary and nothing special, restaurants start pricing 60 Birr per dish.
